10. Introduction to Archaeology

Modern archaeology in China emerged during the excavation of Henan Yangshao ruins in 1921. Archaeologists uncovered Longshan primitive culture when they were excavating Chengziya ruins in Zhangqiu of Shandong in 1930. They published the first archaeology report in China. Shandong has continued to achieve important results that give it an important position in the area of archaeology in China over 80 years. This exhibition introduces the basic knowledge of archaeology.
